Reservations and Payments

Reservations made prior to the cancellation deadline date prior to your arrival date will require a 50% deposit at the time of booking, and the balance will be due 45 days prior to your arrival.  Reservations made within 45 days of your reservation dates will require full payment at the time of booking.  All online reservations require payment by credit card at the time of booking. By completing the reservation process, guests will also authorize us to charge the total remaining balance due upon the cancellation deadline date prior to their arrival date. Reservation charges include, but are not limited to, lodging, taxes, and cleaning fees. All fees are subject to change.

Cancellation Policy

We have a strict cancellation policy for Valhalla Hills. Guests will only receive a full refund if the booking is canceled within 48 hours of booking and it is at least 30 full days prior to listing’s local check-in time (or 4:00 PM if not specified) on the day of check-in. Otherwise, if your stay is not cancelled, in writing, within 48 hours of the time that you booked, your 50% deposit is non-refundable. After that, guests can cancel up to 7 days before check-in and will not be responsible for the final 50% payment and the cleaning fee.

Fees

Our nightly rates vary depending upon seasonal demand and availability. In addition to our nightly rates, there is a $500 cleaning fee and 6% tax.

Although rare, accidental damage from guests can happen — we understand that this is usually unintentional. This is why all of our bookings include a non-refundable $89 Damage Waiver. With this waiver, unless it’s specifically excluded, all accidental damage from a guest is covered up to $1,500, including but not limited to normal wear and tear, infestation, or prior damage.

What are the check in and check out times?

Guest check in is at 4 PM and check out is at 11 AM. You will receive instructions and an electronic code to unlock the door in your welcome materials. Unfortunately we’re unable to accommodate late check out or early check in.

How many guests can the property accommodate?

We have a guest count of 29 people.

Do you allow pets?

We have a strict no pets policy.

What kind of deposit is required?

We require a credit card on file to be charge up to $1,000 for any damage caused by guests outside of normal wear and tear.

What is the closest store?

Kroger in Lancaster, OH is located 15 minutes from the resort.

What amenities are included?

We provide a fully stocked kitchen with double ovens, two dishwashers, cookware, a coffee maker and coffee, microwave, and everything else that most guests will require.

We provide all beddings and towels along with extras for our guests.

The resort is equipped with DirectTV in the great room. Wifi is also provided along with 4G and 5G cell coverage. We have Alexa dots connected through the house and Logitech surround sound system in the media room with bluetooth. With that said, internet speeds will vary greatly depending on network usage and weather. For most guests the internet will work reasonably well and allow them to do things like stream Netflix.

Will I have cell service at the resort?

Yes. Yes you will!

How child-friendly is the resort?

The lodge is not child-proofed or child friendly. We have many guests stay with children, but it’s important for children to be supervised during their stay. The terrain around the lodge is beautiful but it is unsafe for unsupervised children.

What activities are available around the resort?

For guests inclined to explore The Hocking Hills area there are numerous activities available. The lodge is close to Cantwell Cliffs and Rock House, Conkle’s Hollow, Old Man’s Cave, and Ash Cave. Many other activities like zip lining, mini golf, horse back riding, canoeing, and fishing are also available nearby. Rockmill brewery and Brewdog brewery are quite close to enjoy as well.
